The chemistry lab coat is a work garment used in various fields (veterinary clinics, hospitals, and industrial settings) including chemistry laboratories. Here is some important information about this professional garment.

Benefits of a chemistry lab coat

Working in a chemistry laboratory involves handling potentially hazardous substances. That's why wearing a lab coat is mandatory. This garment prevents possible contact with substances deemed dangerous.

How to care for a chemistry lab coat

Maintaining a chemistry lab coat requires special attention. Here are some tips to help you keep your coat clean and comfortable to wear:

• Immediate stain removal

The proper method for keeping your chemistry coat in good condition is to remove stains as quickly as possible. You can use a sponge to absorb the stain without rubbing. If the stain persists, apply a stain remover directly and wait a few minutes for it to work. Then machine wash the coat and ensure all stains are completely gone before putting it in the dryer.

• Maintaining perfect whiteness

To preserve the brightness of a white coat, it's recommended to clean it very frequently, soaking it for several hours if necessary. Remember to always wash your white coat separately from colored clothing. To enhance whiteness, you can use detergent or stain remover specifically designed for white fabrics.

How to choose a chemistry lab coat

When purchasing a chemistry lab coat, several important factors should be considered: size, closure, material, and price.

• Size

The size of the chemistry lab coat should be chosen according to the wearer's morphology. Check that it's neither too short nor too long. Sleeve length is also important - it must adequately cover the forearms to protect against potential chemical splashes.

• Closure

A chemistry lab coat must be worn completely closed. Therefore, it's important that it closes easily. You might opt for a snap-button closure, for example.

• Material

Chemistry lab coats are typically made from cotton, making them both lightweight and durable. This non-flammable textile guarantees protection against potential chemical splashes. The cotton chemistry coat is easily washable and can be machine washed at temperatures above 60 degrees.

• Price

Whether you need a chemistry lab coat for your child, a simple white coat, or an industrial coat, prices vary depending on the material and design details.
